In addition to the functionality provided by the DLN-1 USB-I2C/SPI adapter, DLN-2 adapter supports event driven interface for GPIO, ADC and pulse counter modules.

DLN-2 USB-I2C/SPI/GPIO interface adapter is pin-to-pin compatible with our well known (but currently discontinued) U2C-12 USB-I2C/SPI/GPIO adapter. We changed the API to support additional functionality, but if you don't want to change your software, you can order the DLN-2-U2C modification of USB-I2C/SPI/GPIO adapter. This modification is also API compatible with U2C-12.

DLN-2 adapter provides USB-I2C, USB-SPI, USB-GPIO interfaces, eight 10-bit analog inputs, 2 PWM outputs and two 32-bit pulse counters.

You can configure digital and analog inputs and pulse counters to send events to your application (e.g. when voltage level reaches predefined value).

DLN-2-U2C USB-I2C/SPI/GPIO interface adapter is fully compatible with U2C-12 adapter (both hardware and software). You can order DLN-2-U2C adapter if you previously designed your application for U2C-12.

DLN-2-U2C USB-I2C/SPI/GPIO adapter doesn't support extended DLN-series adapter functionality (ADC, PWM, event-driven interface, etc.), because U2C-12 API doesn't allow this. But you can easily switch between U2C-12 and DLN compatible modes following the instructions from this article.

DLN-2C is a preprogrammed NXP LPC1343 microcontroller that contains exactly the same firmware as DLN-2 USB-I2C/SPI/GPIO adapter. You can also update the firmware when new release is available for DLN-2 adapter. You can even switch the microcontroller to U2C-12 compatible mode and use it with the U2C-12 USB-I2C/SPI/GPIO API.
