- Digital Out Pins Software Interface
Each of 24 USB-IO Adapter GPIO pins can be configured as digital output.
Output values can be set with "GPIO SET OUT VAL" command. This command doesn't turn the pin to digital output mode. It only saves the output value in the GPIO pin out latch. If the pin is already in digital output mode its out value is changed. If the pin is not in digital output mode, you can send the "GPIO SET CFG" command to turn the pin to digital out mode.
We recommend to set the output value before switching the pin to digital out mode. This way you can be sure the pin immediately starts output the correct value.
GPIO pin turns to digital out mode after single pulse generation. Out value is opposite to the pulse value.
- Digital Out Pins Electrical Characteristics
USB-IO Adapter digital out pins are CMOS compatible. The output voltage level depends on JP3 jumper. The digital out pins DC Characteristics are specified in the following table:
